Riley was from Jesup GA which is the other way from Cochran. Both went on with their college careers by moving on to the University of Georgia in Athens. It was there in 1976 they decided to get married. Her mother had planned a trip to Africa in the summer so they rushed the wedding date and put the whole thing together in two weeks. The date happend to fall on Mar. 21 which was also her parents wedding date (1953). While there their first child Daniel was born. It was decided that Cecilia would delay her senior year studies to be a full time Mother and wife. Riley graduated in Agric. Economics, and worked several jobs living in Jesup, Lyons and Vidalia. In Toombs county he served for a while with the ASCS or Acric. Stabilazation Conservation Service, a USDA position. While there he was a victim of (RIF) reduction in force, but still did field work with the organization. While serving in that role he applied for a position in the State ASCS office in South Carolina supervising the Tobacco and Peanut programs. During this period, three other children were born, Jonathan, Mary and Elizabeth.
